Succotash is a cultural hub,  honoring the culinary traditions of fine Creole, Cajun, and Southern Cuisine, and promoting Visual Arts, Live Music, and the Performance Arts. Original art works by local artists decorate the walls, live music emanates from the back room on Saturdays. And on 2nd Thursdays we host a Jazz Jam. Saxophonist Dexter Moses and Jazz Vocalist Lillian Park team up to produce music that is not only true to the great jazz traditions but is also fresh and innovative.
3rd Wednesday Jazz Jams rock! It's a great space for local musicians and jazz lovers to enjoy amazing music and food. The Factual Collective will host the session and invite other musicians to take the stage. Always a great experience!
Winners of the 2022 Triangle Blues Challenge, the Crones perform a unique blend of blues, rock, and Americana, both classics and originals. They take the stage at Succotash every 3rd Saturday to practice their magic.
Tim Wells and Les Bons Temps play Cajun Two-Steps and Waltzes and sing in Cajun French. The music is solidly in the groove with a traditional vibe and a focus on the pleasure of the dancers.
The Onyx Club Boys play regularly for dances and other gigs around Durham and Chapel Hill. Their music is infectious. It is rooted in Django Reinhardt’s Gypsy Jazz sounds of 1930's Paris, and Stuff Smith's New York City Swing.
The JZM Trio has quickly become a house favorite! Performing both classical and modern renditions of Brazilian Jazz, this group creates a lively engaging atmosphere complete with audience participation.
